City: Cocoa, FL (Near Cocoa Beach)

Surf artist Drew Brophy will be featured at the Boards and Waves Expo at the Cocoa Expo Sports Center April 17 & 18, 2010. Check out the East Coast's only "consumer expo for surfers,” complete with surfboard shaping demonstrations, surfboard painting with Brophy and a homemade surfboard contest. There also will be sand sculpting displays, giveaways and music by Gabe Gomez.

A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Surfrider Foundation and Cocoa Beach High School Surf Team. Brophy (www.drewbrophy.com) paints on surfboards, skateboards, wakeboards and a variety of items. The Cocoa Expo Sports Center is located in Cocoa , FL off I-95 and SR520, 10 miles west of Cocoa Beach .

Event takes place 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day. $5 donation for entry; children under age 10 admitted free.
