MAY 1
The Pet Care Fair, Bayfront Park (Miami)

Come out Saturday for this inaugural event where you can walk a mile with your dog or cat, get helpful information on training, grooming and other pet issues from vets and experts, take a picture with your pooch or pussy cat or meet your future best friend. Friends of Jupiter Wine & Food Festival
Saturday May 8, 3-6pm (rain or shine). The Inaugural Friends of Jupiter Beach Food and Wine Festival will bring together fans of great food and libations, the ocean, the beach and more. The event will be held at the Jupiter Riverwalk Events Plaza. Live music from Acoustic Soul and steel drummer Albert Rodney. Restaurants include: Little Moir's Food Shack, Cafe Boulud, Hurricane Cafe, Zuccarelli's, Jupiter Island Grill and many more!! Tickets are $25.00 each for adults and $10 each for children 12 and under. B.O.W.’s welcome: (Behaved, Obedient, Well-socialized dogs) on sturdy leashes. Tango Dance Lessons: Alma de Tango is bringing the romance, passion and elegance of Tango to South Florida every Tuesday in the intimate atmosphere of a Buenos Aires Milonga transported to the sophisticated Danielson Gallery inside the Historic Biltmore Hotel.

To continue with the theme of the night, the hotel will have a selection of Argentine wines, and you won't want to miss our signature raffle (2 Biltmore Sunday Brunch certificates! )

Celebrity Chef Ming Tsai Offers Free Cooking Demos
On this Saturday, your favorite "East Meets West" chef Ming Tsai will be at Macy's in Dadeland offering free cooking demonstrations, cookbook signing, and samples of food for everyone to try.

Joint Art Deco Tour and Wolfsonian Exhibit
Start your weekend off in style with the Deco and Design Tour, a joint venture between Miami Design Preservation League and the Wolfsonian-FIU. This two-hour adventure begins at 6 PM on May 21st with a guided walking tour of the Art Deco District, then moves inside to explore the current exhibition at the Wolfsonian.

Limited to just twenty participants; RSVP and one-week advance ticket purchase required by calling 305.535.2648 or emailing education@thewolf.fiu.edu . The tour begins and ends at The Wolfsonian, 1001 Washington Av, Miami Beach. $10 for members; $20 all others.

Botanical Gardens Lecture
Hill Close Gardens, the English treasure that was nearly lost forever, will be the focus of the kick-off event for MDPL's new lecture series in the Art Deco Welcome Center. MDPL tour guide Paula Fletcher, who splits her time between Miami Beach and Warwick, England, will trace the history of the Gardens and the preservationists who saved it from oblivion. Paula is intimately familiar with the Gardens Co-sponsored with the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens, the lecture begins at 7 PM on May 25th.
