Miami Wine & Food Festival, April 22-24

Saturday, April 10, 2010

The Miami Wine & Food Festival is back April 22-24, 2010 and welcomes English Todd as the Celebrity Chef. It's all about Good Food, Good Wine and Good Will--benefitting the Camillus House to help the homeless.

The three-day event kicks off Thursday with a "Taste and Toast" at Merrick Park featuring more than 60 wineries and 30 of South Florida's top restaurants.

Moving onto Friday is the "Food, Friends and Fun" with cocktail reception and interactive dinner at the Intercontinental Hotel.

The finale is Saturday evening for "Bubbles, Bids and Bites" also at the Intercontinental.

This is one of my personal favorite events. As a blogger I can offer a direct comparison and share that this is how the SoBe Wine & Food Festival started until the Food Network joined with its galore of celebrity chefs and launched it into another stratosphere and out-of-wallet reach for many locals. If you want to see celebrity chefs, wait for SoBe event. If you want to sample good food and wine without the celebrity fuss and stampede crowd, this is the event!

The Miami Wine & Food Festival begins at $75/ticket for Friday's event and well worth it.
