Picasso: Art & Arena Exhibit - An exhibition featuring dozens of Picasso originals, including many that have never been seen previously in the United States. Both famous and rare, these pieces were produced in different styles, techniques and media; providing unique insights into one of Picasso's main themes: bullfighting.  The exhibition is at the Visitor Information Center, 10 Castillo Dr. in St. Augustine. Tours of El Galeón - El Galeón, a unique replica of the 16th century Spanish galleons that sailed to and from newly-discovered Florida, are open for tours at the St. Augustine City Marina thru July 23. Tickets are $15 for adults/$8 for children; Children 5 and under are free when accompanied by a ticketed adult. St. Augustine Art Association Annual Honors Show - Features new works by artists who have won awards at association exhibits during the previous three years. Dog Days Art Exhibit - Opening reception for artist Sarah Emerson's Dog Days exhibit is from 5-11 p.m. at St. Augustine's space:eight Gallery, 228 West King Street, St. Augustine. Dog Days refers to the belief that these days of summer inspire evil. Emerson uses a candy-like palette to depict battlefields, natural and man-made disasters, barren landscapes inhabited by forest creatures and much more. Ancient City Mosaic Exhibit - An artistic rendering of America's first city is presented in 450 works of art - one for each year of St. Augustine's lengthy history. Created by regional and local artists, this exhibition expresses the rich cultural diversity of St. Augustine. Matanzas Inlet Guided Hike -From 8:30 to10 a.m. GTM Research Reserve expert volunteers, in partnership with the National Park Service, will take hikers to the Matanzas Inlet shores to learn about inlet dynamics and movements of sand as the sea constantly rearranges the land. Learn about seashells, sea birds, coquina rock, dune vegetation, heavy minerals, mollusks, the habits of crabs, and the history of beach sand. La Folia Concert - Internationally-renowned Spanish musical group La Folia BaroqueEnsemble launch their American tour with a free concert beginning at 7 p.m. in the St. Augustine Cathedral Basilica. La Folia features six of Spain's best musicians who perform baroque music on original instruments from the time of Spain's discovery of La Florida(1513). Salt Marsh Kayak Experience - Experience unique perspectives of the ancient city and bird watching while paddling with an expert guide in the calm waters of salt marsh habitat. Saltwater Fishing Workshops - Washington Oaks Gardens State Park will host a series of hands-on, saltwater fishing workshops to teach visitors the basic techniques for catching fish, as well as the importance of conservation and safety. The workshops are designed for two different age groups. Adult workshops for ages 18 and over, will be held Thursdays, July 11, 18, & 25. Youth workshops, for ages 8 to 17, will take place on Fridays, July 12, 19 & 26. The 3-hour workshops start at 9 a.m. and cost $20 per participant, including park entrance fee. The Three Mrs. Flaglers at the Casa Monica- Meet the three wives of Henry Flagler during a dinner theatre show in the Casa Monica Hotel in St. Augustine. "The Three Mrs. Flaglers" written by and starring local actress Dianne Jacoby as she portrays each of his wives -- Mary Harkness, Ida Alice Shourds, and Mary Lily Kenan.
