Where NOT to buy Gas in Miami

Monday, February 20, 2012

Florida is a top tourist destination and you certainly pay those hotel, rental car and who- knows- what other taxes that saves residents from paying state taxes. Well, here is a tidbit to save you--the tourist-- from overpaying when filling up the gas tank of your rental vehicle near the Miami airport.

BEWARE of the Shell gas station across the street from the rental car places near Miami Airport. They are currently charging $4.69 a gallon, that's higher than both the city average and national average.

Three blocks down is a BP gas station with prices more in line with city average $3.73 per gallon. So take a few minutes to drive down the street and save yourself a few bucks and buy yourself an edible snack for the plane ride.
