SAWGRASS WINE AND SPIRITS FESTIVAL
Taste and learn about wines and spirits at the luxurious Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort. On Thursday, participate in a ticketed wine dinner at one of the participating restaurants. On Friday from 7 to 9 p.m., be part of the spirits tastings on the grounds of the Marriott Sawgrass, Then, from 1 to 5 p.m., on Saturday and Sunday, participate in the wine tasting festivities at the Marriott Sawgrass. More than 40 wine vendors with more than 150 different wines will be on hand to provide tastings. In addition to the wines and spirits, there will be a gourmand tent where participants can sample culinary delights. A retail outlet for foods and wines will be open. GOLD CITY HISTORY TOURS
Ride in comfort and style with just seven other passengers on an all- electric shuttle bus while enjoying a narrated tour of the sites of St. Augustine. El CONQUISTADOR THRILL RIDE
Go for a thrilling, high-speed, one-hour ride across Matanzas Bay aboard El Conquistador, St. Augustine's newest thrill ride. MURDER MYSTERY DINNER THEATER
Experience the first theater on St. Augustine's St. George Street since a terrible fire destroyed the Genovar Opera House in 1914. ENDLESS SUMMER BEACH RUN AND WALK
Extend your summer with this invigorating beach run and walk presented by the Friends of Anastasia State Park. The 10K run and 5K walk begin at 7:30 a.m. and the course goes through the park's beautiful and scenic setting. Participants need to be prepared for soft sand, uneven terrain, mixed pavement types, sun exposure, heat and humidity. Participation costs $20 through September 16 and includes park admission. The fee is $25 on the day of the event. A special $40 fee includes registration for the run/walk, membership in the Friends and 12 free passes to the park - a $96 value! Proceeds from the event will help the park host new community and educational events. INTERNATIONAL COASTAL CLEANUP DAY AT GTM RESERVE
Help make a difference during the world's oldest and largest volunteer effort to clean up our marine environment. Each year, volunteers remove and record data on the trash and debris collected from their local beaches, rivers, lakes and streams as well as along shorelines and underwater. To be a part of the clean up of our local beaches and contribute data to this international effort, come out to the GTM Research Reserve, between 8 and 11 a.m. to sign up and pitch-in.
