19th Annual Mango Festival, Miami

Friday, July 08, 2011

This weekend is the annual Mango Festival. Whether you're a local with a mango tree that bursted and dropped mangoes like red and green fireworks, or visiting our subtropical paradise, you don't want to miss this popular annual festival in Coral Gables.

The 19th annual event by Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden (FTBG) celebrates the “Mangos of Hawaii” and includes conferences, mango lectures and smoothies, display of mangoes, an auction, culinary demonstrations, mango tasting and flavor evaluations, mango merchandise, botanical art, fruit market, yoga and kids’ activities.

Returning again is the Sunday mango brunch at 11am in the Garden House featuring top chefs from the Delano hotel, STK at the Gansevoort, the Biltmore, and Chef Allen's as they prepare their specialty mango dishes. Purchase your tickets in advance!

Visit the event website to get $2 off admission and $5 discount for walking or riding your bike to the event!

Enjoy mango mania!
